UAE flower occasions: the dates to remember

October 4, 2026

Some flower-giving dates come round on the same day every year; others follow the moon. Here are the dates in the UAE for the coming months, with the Tanella collection for each. Ramadan and the two Eids follow the Islamic (Hijri) calendar, so their dates move about 11 days earlier each year and are confirmed only after the new moon is sighted: for those, the dates below are expected dates.

The dates, in order

2 December: UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad). See our UAE National Day flowers.
1 January: New Year's Day.
14 February: Valentine's Day. See our Romantic Flowers, Romantic Gift Bundles and Romantic Cakes.
Expected 9 or 10 March 2027: Eid Al Fitr, at the end of Ramadan, which is expected to begin on 8 February 2027. See our Eid flowers, and add the Arabic Acrylic Accessory with «تقبل الله طاعتكم».
21 March: Mother's Day in the UAE. See our Mother's Day collection.
Expected 16 or 17 May 2027: Eid Al Adha, with Arafat Day expected on 15 or 16 May. See our Eid flowers. For pilgrims coming home from Hajj, the Arabic Acrylic Accessory also comes with «حج مبرور».

Where the expected dates come from: astronomical calculations reported by Khaleej Times (22 August 2026, updated 1 September 2026) and The National (9 September 2026). They are confirmed only after the moon is sighted, when the UAE announces the official dates.
